Holiday Snow Balls


If there's one thing that I could wish for during the holidays, it would defintely be snow in the Bay Area. I have always wanted a white christmas! Something about the snow and all the christmas decorations make everything seem so magical. 

Since there wouldn't be snow this year once again, I've decided to create my own snow balls and they're edible! But the best part of this recipe is that it only requires a few ingredients. These vanilla holiday snowball are the easiest thing to make for a last minute dessert for a party or a potluck. 




They're kind of similar to a cake pop but instead of candy melts, I used melted white chocolate chips with a little bit of heavy whipping cream to add a shiny glaze kind of finish. These Holiday Snow Balls are not just delicious but they look so festive and cute! 



Ingredients:
1 box cake mix
16 oz container ready-made frosting
A bag of white chocolate Chips
1/4 cup of heavy whipping cream
Holiday Sprinkles of your choice

Directions:
Bake the cake as directed on the box, using a 9x13 cake pan. Let cool completely. 
Once the cake has cooled completely. Crumble cake into small pieces in a large bowl, then add three-quarters of the container of frosting into the large bowl. Mix together until thoroughly combined. 
Roll mixture into 2 inch balls by hand and place them on a prepared baking sheet, cover baking sheet with plastic wrap and chill for about an hour or two.
After your cake pops have chilled completely, take baking sheet out and place aside.
To melt chocolate, heat a small pot with several inches of water. Cover the top with a heat-proof bowl. Make sure stem cannot escape. Pour in the bag of hot chocolate in bowl, then add in heavy whipping cream. Stir occasionally. 
Dip one cake ball into melt chocolate coating until covered completely, remove with a fork, and then place back on baking sheet.
Add sprinkles right away onto chocolate coated cake balls.
Repeat steps 6-7 until done.
Place baking sheet in freezer for 20 minutes.
Once cake balls have cooled completely. Take them off the baking sheet and they are ready to be served!

Product Review: Burgati Professional Shampoo set


I've decided to do a little summary of a product that I have been currently loving! If there's one thing that I struggle on, is really taking care of my hair. To be honest, I have never really been into hair care and maintenance. But as of lately, my hair has been needing some serious help.

For the past couple weeks or so, I have really been pushing myself to take some extra time during my nightly routine to spend on taking care of my hair. I've been currently using Burgati professional series set, and let me tell you, my hair has never felt so luscious and healthy in so long. Of course, I didn't see result right away but after day five/six, thats when I started seeing results of how healthy my hair has been looking. Another thing that I absolutely love is the fact that these products are packed with Kertin and Argan Oil, and if you know me, then you know how much I love anything with Argan oil! Also, who doesn't love a hair product that is sulfate-free and paragon-free? 

You also can not beat the price of these products as well. Everything on their website is so affordable!  I definitely recommend these products to anyone who needs a little love and tender for their hair. Although, I am not really impressed with the smell. Don't get me wrong, It doesn't smell bad but I think it doesn't really smell like anything at all. But I can't complain, because it does the job! My favorite product is also the leave-in conditioner, this products works really well with my fine, wavy hair, it does a great job detangling and conditioning my hair. A little also goes a long way with this product.

Holiday Sugar Cookies




Now that the holidays are in full effect, it is also the season for baking! To me, the holidays do not feel like the holidays until I smell sweet cookies flowing through out the house. With that in mind, holidays are all about spending time with your family, so baking cookies with family is always one of my favorite things to do. 


I wanted to share a cookie recipe that would be fun to make with others, so I knew this sugar cookie recipe would be the perfect match! The fun part is always decorating the cookies. These cookies are seriously soft and chewy, it'll definitely be hard to leave some for Santa. 


The best part of this recipe is that most of these ingredients can be easily found in your pantry! For sprinkles, Any sprinkles can work but of course since its Christmas time, you know I had to bust out my holiday sprinkles. 



When it comes to shaping out the cookies, the easiest thing to do is roll the dough in a 2'' ball and use a flat bottom glass cup dipped in a little flour to flatten the cookies into a circular shape. You can always roll out the cookie dough and cut out the shape with a cookie cutter. If you do plan to roll out your dough, make sure to cover and chill your cookie dough ahead of time for about 10 minutes. 



Sugar Cookies 

The perfect soft and chewy Frosted Sugar Cookie 

Ingredients:
  • 2 sticks (1 cup) butter, softened
  • 1 cup plain yogurt 
  • 1 ¾ cup of granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract 
  • ½ teaspoon almond extract 
  • 6 cups of all purpose flour
  • 1 ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt (omit if using salted butter)
For frosting:
  • 2 sticks (1 cup) butter, softened 
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 4 cups powdered sugar, sifted
  • 2 teaspoon of milk
  • Food coloring and Sprinkles
Instructions:
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line baking sheet with parchment paper or mat. Set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter and yogurt with a stand mixer or hand mixer until smooth and light in color.
  3. Add in sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and almond extract. Mix until combined. 
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt (if using). Then, slowly add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients in small sections. Mixing well after each.   
  5. Roll dough into 2” balls and placing them 2” apart on the prepared cookie sheet. Use a flat bottom glass dipped in flower, press the cookie balls flat. ( For rolled cookies, see information under dough picture above)
  6. Bake cookies in preheated over for 5-7 minutes, until the cookies behind to rise and bottoms are lightly brown. Remove Immediately and let cool on a cooling rack before frosting. 
For Frosting:
  1. In a large bowl, cream together butter and extract with a stand mixer or a hand mixer.
  2. Add in powdered sugar (1 cup at a time), mix until smooth after each addition. Add in milk and food coloring, and beat until smooth. 
  3. Frost cookie and immediately sprinkle cookies and have fun!

Candle Haul




Nothing makes the holidays more cozier than candles. I am absolutely crazy over candles especially during the holidays. With these cold winter nights, sun going down faster, candles makes the mood in the room feel so much cozier and relaxing.  
Candles are the best aromatherapy for me. Just snuggling in bed with a cup of hot coco and a christmas movie on with the candles lit up is the best stress reliever. I really suggest stocking up on candles since I know the holidays can be stressful to some people, once you light up that candle... all your worries go away.


Lucky for me I live right next to Bath and Body works and I don't know about you guys but I tend to go crazy over the holiday collection, just like how crazy I am over the holidays in general. So of course, I wanted to show you guys a few of my favorite candles in the holiday collection! 


We all have the one candle you can't live without. This is mine. Marshmallow Fireside is my favorite candle scent of all time! I am a sucker for warm scents. This candle reminds me of sitting by the fire side, roasting marshmallows and listening to christmas music surrounded by family.



This one is also one of my favorites. First of all, can we talk about how cute the labels are this year? So adorable. This candle smells like of course spiced gingerbread, vanilla icing, cinnamon sugar, and fresh nutmeg. This would be a perfect candle to have in near the kitchen.




And finally, Vanilla Bean Noel! As you can tell, I am obsessed with vanilla scented things. The smell of this candle smells like if heaven baked fresh sugar cookies everyday. If you like sweet smells, then you will definitely love this candle!

Christmas Sangria

It is finally the most wonderful time of the year again! And what better way to start the month of December than a nice cup of holiday cheer? December is definitely my favorite time of the year. Something about all the christmas decoration and of course all the lights lit up, makes this time so magical. Something about this time, just makes me feel so nostalgic and filled with joy! 




Now the one thing that I love about this drink is of course the way it taste like but also the way it looks! Just look at it. It looks so chic I l-o-v-e it! Especially with Cranberry and Rosemary? This cup seriously taste like christmas in a cup. So I thought this was the perfect way to get you into the holiday spirit! 




This Christmas Sangria only requires a few ingredients as well! All you need is a cranberries, apple, rosemary, sugar and wait for it... apple cider and your favorite white wine. Of course my favorite wine is Pinot Grigio.  


This drink is the perfect drink for a holiday party! Like I said, this drink is just so pretty, it'll also make a nice touch on the dinner table.





Christmas Sangria 
The perfect cup of cheer infused with cranberries, apples, and rosemary. 
Ingredients:
- One bottle of white wine
- 3/4 cup of sparkling apple cider
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup of cranberries, halved
- 1/2 cup of cranberries, whole 
- 1 granny smith apple, chopped
- 4 rosemary springs
Directions:
Add all ingredients in a large pitcher while stirring with a wooden spoon. Serve chilled or over ice.
